Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NC Select Cleaning’s services and website. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to NC Select Cleaning (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”). NC Select Cleaning is a residential cleaning service provider operating in Brunswick County, North Carolina. These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and NC Select Cleaning regarding the use of our services and website (ncselectcleaning.com).

By booking a cleaning service, completing payment, or otherwise engaging with NC Select Cleaning, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all services provided by NC Select Cleaning and all interactions with our website, mobile communications, and service representatives.

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a business, organization, or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, you must not book or use our services.

2. Services Description

NC Select Cleaning provides professional residential cleaning services in the greater Sunset Beach area of Brunswick County, North Carolina, including but not limited to the following communities:

  • Sunset Beach, NC
  • Ocean Isle Beach, NC
  • Holden Beach, NC
  • Calabash, NC
  • Shallotte, NC
  • Supply, NC
  • Bolivia, NC

Our services include:

  • Residential Recurring Cleans: Regular scheduled cleaning services for ongoing maintenance of your home
  • Vacation Rental Turnovers: Turnover cleaning between guest stays for vacation rental properties
  • Deep Cleans/Move-In/Move-Out: Comprehensive cleaning services for property transitions

All services are performed by independent contractor cleaning professionals. The specific scope of each cleaning service will be confirmed during the booking process and reflected in your service quote. Additional services or modifications to the standard cleaning scope may incur additional charges.

3. Booking and Scheduling

Booking Process: Clients may book services through our website at ncselectcleaning.com or by contacting us directly at (910) 971-0018 or admin@ncselectcleaning.com. A booking is confirmed once you have received a confirmation email or text message containing the scheduled date, time, and service details.

Service Availability: Service availability depends on contractor availability and scheduling. We will provide available dates and times based on current demand. Requested dates and times are not guaranteed until you receive official confirmation.

Schedule Changes: Once a cleaning is scheduled and confirmed, any requests to reschedule must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time. Rescheduling requests submitted less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may be declined or treated as a cancellation.

Contractor Assignment: NC Select Cleaning reserves the right to assign any qualified contractor to your service. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure consistency, contractor assignments may vary from one service to the next.

4. Pricing and Payment Terms

Pricing and Quotes: Service pricing is provided in the quote you receive during the booking process. Quotes are based on the scope of work discussed and the current pricing structure. Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued. Additional services or changes to the scope of work may result in revised pricing.

Minimum Service Charge: NC Select Cleaning maintains a minimum service charge of $125 for all bookings. Any services provided will be charged at a minimum of $125, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payment Terms: Payment for services must be submitted in full at the time of booking, prior to the scheduled service date. We accept payment via Stripe, which processes major credit and debit cards securely. By providing your payment information, you authorize NC Select Cleaning to charge your card for the full service amount.

Payment Hold Period: Upon receipt of payment, funds are held in a secure account for 24 hours prior to the scheduled service. During this 24-hour period, you may request a cancellation or reschedule. After the 24-hour window, cancellation requests are subject to our Cancellation Policy (see Section 9).

Service Charges and Taxes: Pricing displayed and quoted does not include any applicable sales taxes, processing fees, or other charges required by law. Such charges will be added to the final invoice.

Refund Policy: Refunds are subject to the terms outlined in Section 9 (Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy). No refunds will be issued for services rendered to client satisfaction. Refunds for cancelled services will be processed via the original payment method within 5-10 business days, less any applicable cancellation fees.

Invoice and Receipt: A detailed invoice and receipt will be provided via email following completion of your service. Please retain this for your records.

5. SMS/Text Message Communications and Consent

5.1 Description of SMS Use Cases: NC Select Cleaning uses SMS and text messaging to communicate with customers about the following types of messages: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling changes, service follow-ups, promotional offers, review requests, payment reminders, and customer service responses. These text messages are sent to help you manage your cleaning service experience with us.

5.2 Opt-In Consent: By providing your phone number through our website contact form, booking system, or any other method, and by checking the consent checkbox, you expressly consent to receive SMS/text messages from NC Select Cleaning at the phone number you provided. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any services from NC Select Cleaning. You may choose not to provide consent and still use our services by contacting us via email or phone instead.

5.3 Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your service activity. You may receive approximately 2-10 text messages per month depending on your booking frequency and account activity. Recurring messages may be sent for appointment reminders, follow-ups, and promotional communications.

5.4 Opt-Out Instructions: You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time. To stop receiving SMS messages from NC Select Cleaning, simply reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you send STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message, and no further text messages will be sent to you. If you wish to re-subscribe, you may text START or contact us directly. 5.6 Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply to all text messages sent to or received from NC Select Cleaning. Message and data rates are determined by your mobile carrier and your individual phone plan. NC Select Cleaning is not responsible for any messaging or data charges imposed by your wireless carrier. Please contact your mobile carrier if you have questions about your messaging plan or rates.

5.7 Carrier Liability Disclaimer: NC Select Cleaning, its affiliates, and any third-party service providers used to facilitate SMS communications are not liable for any delayed, undelivered, or misdirected text messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of text messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and network availability. NC Select Cleaning makes no guarantee that text messages will be delivered successfully or in a timely manner.

5.8 Age Restriction: You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to opt in to SMS communications from NC Select Cleaning. By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If we learn that a person under 18 has opted in to receive text messages, we will promptly remove their number from our messaging list.

5.9 Privacy and Data Protection: Your phone number and any information collected through SMS communications will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://ncselectcleaning.com/privacy-policy-2/. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or any personal information collected via SMS/text messaging with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your information is only shared with service providers necessary to deliver our SMS communications.

5.10 Accuracy of Phone Number: You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate phone number. If your phone number changes, please notify us immediately at admin@ncselectcleaning.com or (910) 971-0018 to update your contact information.

6. Service Guarantee and Liability Limitations

Service Quality: NC Select Cleaning stands behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your cleaning service, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion via email at admin@ncselectcleaning.com or by calling (910) 971-0018. We will make reasonable efforts to address any legitimate quality concerns.

Satisfaction Resolution: Our standard remedy for service quality issues is to have a contractor return to re-clean the area(s) in question at no additional charge, provided notice is given within 24 hours of service completion. Re-cleans must be scheduled within 7 days of the original service.

Limitation of Liability: NC Select Cleaning’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. NC Select Cleaning shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of use, loss of data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

No Warranties: NC Select Cleaning provides services on an “as-is” basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the fitness of our services for any particular purpose or the permanence of cleaning results. Cleaning results depend on many factors beyond our control, including material composition, prior condition, and ongoing use of the property.

7. Property Access and Security

Access to Property: By booking a cleaning service, you grant NC Select Cleaning and its contractor(s) permission to enter the scheduled property during the agreed-upon service window to perform the contracted cleaning services.

Keys and Access Codes: If the property is occupied, the client or an authorized representative must be present to grant access. For vacant properties or vacation rentals, the client is responsible for providing access (keys, security codes, garage door openers, gate codes, etc.) as arranged during the booking process. NC Select Cleaning is not responsible for obtaining access or for charges incurred due to lockouts or failed access attempts.

Security and Valuables: NC Select Cleaning recommends that clients secure valuables, personal documents, cash, jewelry, and other sensitive items prior to the scheduled service. While our contractors are carefully selected and vetted, NC Select Cleaning is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, valuables, or items of sentimental value left in plain sight or unsecured.

Property Condition Documentation: Clients are encouraged to take photographs or videos of the property before the service and to review the property after cleaning is complete. This documentation serves as your record of the pre-service condition and can be helpful in resolving any disputes.

Unauthorized Damage or Theft: If unauthorized damage or theft occurs, clients should contact local law enforcement and notify NC Select Cleaning within 24 hours of discovery. NC Select Cleaning will cooperate with law enforcement and insurance investigations as appropriate.

8. Damage Policy

Accidental Damage: In the event that a contractor accidentally damages property, furnishings, or items belonging to the client during service, the client must notify NC Select Cleaning in writing within 24 hours of discovery. Claims must include photographic evidence and an estimate or receipt for repair or replacement costs.

Assessment and Payment: Upon receipt of a documented damage claim, NC Select Cleaning will investigate and assess the legitimacy of the claim. If the claim is determined to be valid and caused directly by contractor negligence or misconduct, NC Select Cleaning will work with the client to arrange repairs or provide compensation, up to a maximum amount equal to the value of the cleaning service.

Excluded Damages: NC Select Cleaning is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or wear and tear
  • Damage caused by the client’s failure to disclose hazardous conditions or inform the contractor of fragile items
  • Damage to items not disclosed as fragile or requiring special care
  • Damage caused by product reactions (e.g., discoloration from cleaning products) on delicate surfaces
  • Damage caused by normal wear and tear from cleaning activities
  • Damage caused by the client’s own negligence or misuse of the property after cleaning

Caps on Liability: Regardless of the cause, NC Select Cleaning’s maximum liability for any single damage claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service during which the damage allegedly occurred, with an absolute maximum cap of $2,500 per claim and $5,000 aggregate per year.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellation Window – 24-Hour Rule: If you wish to cancel a scheduled cleaning service, you must submit your cancellation request at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time. Cancellations submitted 24 hours or more in advance are eligible for a full refund.

Late Cancellations (Less Than 24 Hours): Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled service time are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service price. The remaining 50% will be refunded to the original payment method.

No-Show Policy: If you fail to provide access to the property or cannot be reached at the scheduled service time, and a cancellation request was not submitted, the full service charge will be retained as a no-show fee. The contractor may attempt to contact you at the phone number provided, but is not obligated to wait beyond 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling requests submitted 24 hours or more in advance will be accommodated based on contractor availability at no additional charge. Rescheduling requests submitted less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may be declined or treated as a cancellation subject to the late cancellation fee.

Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, as processing times vary by financial institution.

Cancellation Confirmation: A written cancellation confirmation will be sent via email or text message. This confirmation serves as proof of your cancellation request and the time it was received.

10. Privacy

Privacy Policy: Your privacy is important to us. This Terms of Service should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, which is available at ncselectcleaning.com/privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information, including your contact information, payment data, and service history.

Data Protection: By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your information and maintaining compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Third-Party Processors: We use third-party service providers (such as Stripe for payment processing) to facilitate our services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information in accordance with our privacy standards and applicable laws.

11. Intellectual Property

Ownership: All content on the NC Select Cleaning website, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, logos, designs, and service descriptions, is the exclusive property of NC Select Cleaning or its content providers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limited License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and use the website content solely for the purpose of booking our services. This license does not permit you to reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, or create derivative works from any website content without the express written permission of NC Select Cleaning.

Trademarks: “NC Select Cleaning” and all associated logos and marks are trademarks or service marks of NC Select Cleaning. Unauthorized use of these marks is prohibited without written consent.

User-Generated Content: Any content, images, or testimonials you submit to NC Select Cleaning (including photos, reviews, or feedback) may be used by NC Select Cleaning for marketing, promotional, or service improvement purposes. By submitting such content, you grant NC Select Cleaning a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the content without compensation or further notice.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Governing Law: These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction and Venue: You agree that any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Brunswick County, North Carolina. You hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts and waive any objection to venue or inconvenient forum.

Dispute Resolution: Before pursuing formal legal action, we encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve any disputes. If you wish to pursue a claim, you must do so within one (1) year of the date on which the claim arises, or such claim shall be forever barred.

13. Changes to Terms of Service

Right to Modify: NC Select Cleaning reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website (ncselectcleaning.com). Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

Notice of Changes: For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will provide notice via email or text message to the contact information on file. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.

Effective Date: The “Last Updated” date at the top of this document indicates when these Terms were last revised. We encourage you to check this date regularly.
